Getting your Florida real estate license, our courses and how the online platform works.
What do I need to get a Florida real estate sales associate license?
You must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent and a Social Security number. Then:
- Complete the 63-hour Sales Associate Pre-Licensing course and pass its final exam.
- Apply for your license with the Florida DBPR and get your electronic fingerprints.
- Pass the state exam at Pearson VUE.
- Activate your license with a broker.
What is the difference between Online, Livestream and In Person?
- Online: self-paced on the IQNEST platform. Start the same day you enroll and study whenever you want.
- Livestream: scheduled live classes over Zoom with the instructor, from home.
- In Person: scheduled classroom classes with the instructor.
The content and the state requirements are the same. Pick the format that fits your routine.
How long do I have to finish an online course?
Your access to an online course lasts 3 months from the purchase date. If it expires before you finish, your progress is reset and you need to enroll again to continue.
How does the final course exam work?
The final exam unlocks only after you complete every section of the course. It is timed, and the passing score, number of attempts and waiting period between attempts follow the rules of each course, which are shown before you start.
Why do you ask for my legal name and my SSN or license number?
Your certificate of completion is issued in your legal name and, depending on the course, with your Social Security number (last 4 digits) or your real estate license number. You enter this information once, before you start the course, and it cannot be changed afterwards, so please type it exactly as it appears on your documents.
I already bought an online course. How do I access it?
Click Student Login at the top of this site and sign in to IQNEST with the email you used to enroll. Your course is under My Courses.
What do I need after I get my license?
New sales associates must complete the 45-hour Post-Licensing course before their first license renewal. After that, Florida requires 14 hours of continuing education every two years.
